If you’re racking your brain trying to figure out what to gift the fashionable gal or fringueuse in your life this Christmas, let us suggest a long-sleeve striped top and not just any run-of-the-mill striped top but the O.G. of all striped tops: The Breton made by Saint James. Sure, it may not be the flashiest piece of clothing to present as a gift but we can guarantee you that she’ll get so much use out of this classic piece that she’ll wonder how she ever got dressed without it or how she settled for disposable substitutes all these years.
Before moving into my new place I had grandiose visions of how I would decorate my home office. My office space, where I spend most of my time during the day and evening, for that matter, should be comfortable and stylish. It should reflect my personal taste and not be too office-y but still be highly functional.
Earrings used to be my thing. I’m not sure at what point over the last couple of years I stopped investing any attention to adorning my ear lobs but I do know that these in-your-face Givenchy disk number are bringing earrings back – for me – in a huge way. We’re loving how stylist Elissa Cannelle Castelbou chose a punchy, colorful and graphic menswear slash sportswear theme that instantly cast these classic pieces in a new vibrant and playful light. Ataui and Marihenny look like they had a ball shooting this editorial, and it most definitely put a smile on our faces! Margherita Missoni is selling off seventy covetable pieces from her personal vintage collection starting today at Yoox.com. This anticipated sale is benefitting Orphan Aid Africa. This non-profit supports orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana through programs in Care Reform, family support, education, and development. Missoni is president of the Italian chapter. At the sale expect an impressive and historic selection of printed dresses, coats and accessories from her colorful family brand, and several obscure pieces she’s unearth during her many travels.
It’s impossible not to notice Wonderland magazine fashion editor Julia Sarr-Jamois, and this isn’t simply due to her gorgeous statement natural ‘fro, which she sports with such élan. Her innately cool Style DNA gets her lots of attention too and it has earned her a well-deserved top spot on the list of street-style muses during fashion week in Europe. |
