As a stylist and Fashion Editor at Vogue Hommes International in Paris, Azza Yousif knows a thing or two about creating the ultimate wardrobe. Ostwald Helgason Fall Winter 2012

While fall, our favorite season, may be months away, we at Fringueuse, despite the sweltering heat in NYC at the moment, have already begun daydreaming about the rich autumn hued trousers, oversized stripped knits, printed sweatshirts, peplum hemmed wool skirts and white turtle necks from Ostwald Helgason’s Antarctic naval inspired Fall 2012 show.  Design duo Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason are the brilliant minds behind this London-based line which launched in 2008.

Strap-Up

Fall 2011 ushered in the classic ankle-strap shoe with designers like Alexander Wang and Phillip Lim focusing their attention on dressing up our ankles in barely there straps wrapped seductively around the ankles. Wang went one step further calling attention to the ankles with the futuristic Fabiana complete with a superhero cape at the back of the strap.

Crowning Glory

There are those girls whose nimble hands can tie up a turban or headscarf with such ease and precision, then there are the rest of us (like me) who struggle with folding the fabric just right, and spend most of the day fidgeting with it ‘till we get frustrated and pull it off our heads. So I was beyond thrilled to discover a line of head scarf and turbans are easy to manipulate and stay put.

Overalls Go Street Chic

Ever since I saw this shot of fashion consultant Miroslava Duma in a tailored pair of kick-ass overalls at Ulyana Sergeenko’s first couture fashion show in Paris earlier this summer, I’ve been totally obsessed with finding the perfect pair of overalls. While the petite street style star didn’t disappoint at the shows with an array of drool-worthy looks, this particular ensemble really grabbed me.

Anna Sheffield's Fine Ideas

The last time I sat down with jewelry designer Anna Sheffield in her studio to talk about her metal based punk-inspired jewelry line, Bing Bang, was back in 2006 in her former Williamsburg, Brooklyn space. The contemporary collection, with its unorthodox pairing of sweet and tough was attracting lots of attention from buyers, consumers and the press.

Vamp Up Your Pout for Fall In Deep Rich Tones

With all the bright pops of color that have taken over our makeup-bag, it’s refreshing to see moody shades of burgundy, plum and burnt cherry making a strong statement this fall for lips. The dramatic sexy hue popped up all over the Fall 2012 catwalks (Donna Karan, Rochas (both above), Gucci & Bottega Veneta) and trendsetters like Kate Bosworth, Azealia Banks and Camilla Bell took this optimum fall beauty trend for an early spring spin at the Met Ball 2012.

Morgan Parish Nails The Perfect Less-is-More Bag Collection

“You can love fashion and clothes but that’s not necessarily always the path that you were meant to be on,” explains 30-year-old Ayeisha Mesinger, the designer behind the perfect-with-everything bag line Morgan Parish. Following years as a clothing designer working at labels such as Band of Outsiders, where she focused on menswear, Mesinger discovered her calling while searching for the perfect leather tote to suit her yearning for a bag that was functional, durable and, of course, cool.
