Seven Wonders Vintage Boutique

One of my favorite vintage stores in Brooklyn is Seven Wonders in Greenpoint. What makes this boutique so special? First, it’s one of the few vintage stores in New York where you can still score great blouses, dresses , skirts, accessories and shoes at low prices ( all under $100) – a notion that’s almost unheard of in New York today.

Prabal Gurung x Target

Just as expected the Prabal Gurung for Target collaboration  is chock-full of lovely floral and graphic prints that are in sync with the designer’s M.O. and his inspiration for the romantic 80-piece collection: love. Gurung delivers flirty dresses and feminine accessories to cover every step of your love story from the crush to the first kiss.

COVET: Zara Studio Trousers

Let it be known that today, January 9th 2013, is the day my luck, my terrible luck, changed for the better. No, I did not win the lottery, find a bag full of cash in a paper bag on the subway or even win a week’s worth of free soup at my current favorite lunch spot Hale & Hearty.

Jason Wu Debuts Miss Wu

The wait is over! Jason Wu launched his new contemporary and much more affordable line, Miss Wu, today exclusively at Nordstrom (for the first month). The 40-piece collection, inspired by stylish icons from the ’60s like Marianne Faithfull and Jane Birkin, features a sweet and youthful take on his designs. Stripped sweaters, printed A-line and shift dresses and flirty minis are all priced between $190 and $800.

IBM's Touchy-Feely Online Shopping

Online shopping has become the fastest and most convenient way to shop. Companies are constantly thinking up new ways to improve online shopping with a big focus on how to better engage and empower customers while tailoring the shopping experience to their personal needs. Despite all the radical changes that have occurred in online retail to improve on and revolutionize the brick and mortar blueprint, the shopping in-person aspect of touching and feeling a product has been impossible to reproduce thus far, or so we thought.

Le Smoking Hot

Take a cue from Lanvin’s Spring 2013 collection and set your look apart this festive party season by switching up your quintessential LBD for a sharp tuxedo. This reconstructed take on cocktail dressing, made famous in 1966 by YSL with its iconic Le Smoking, is an effortless way to maximize your dress code. While a black jacket, black pant and a white shirt have long been the conventional color theme for tuxes, deviate from the classic recipe for a noteworthy spin on the classic.

Saint James Breton Stripe Top

If you’re racking your brain trying to figure out what to gift the fashionable gal or fringueuse in your life this Christmas, let us suggest a long-sleeve striped top and not just any run-of-the-mill striped top but the O.G. of all striped tops: The Breton made by Saint James. Sure, it may not be the flashiest piece of clothing to present as a gift but we can guarantee you that she’ll get so much use out of this classic piece that she’ll wonder how she ever got dressed without it or how she settled for disposable substitutes all these years.
