TOME‘s Australian designers Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin have been awarded the 2013 Ecco Domani’s Fashion Foundation Awards prize of $25,000 to help them present their new collection at New York Fashion Week. The New York based TOME, launched in 2011, is following in some pretty impressive footsteps. Prior winners include Derek Lam, Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy and Alexander Wang. Both Lobo and Martin have honed their fashion and design skills working in the industry for years before coming together to birth a line of simple, clean and easy-to-wear pieces in relaxed and flattering silhouettes that move with many different body shapes. These functional and wearable basics with a cool twist are guaranteed to sharpen any closet. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two designers.
